Overview
Isando is a town in Ekurhuleni in the Gauteng province of South Africa, falling within Kempton Park’s borders. It is situated 22 km east of Johannesburg.
Isando is strategically located close to O.R Tambo International Airport, which is a mere 4.8km away. Isando also has quick and easy access to the R24, and the Gautrain station at Rhodesfield and has its own railway line that connects Isando to other areas in Gauteng. Isando lies adjacent to Spartan, another prime industrial area.
Isando is primarily an industrial area and its close proximity to the East Rand, Boksburg Lake, Kelvin Power Station in Kempton Park and O.R. Tambo International Airport makes it extremely popular with regards to industrial and commercial property. It also benefits from the strong power supply to the Kempton park area.
As a zoned industrial area and with industrial use being its main focus, Isando is home to many storage facilities, logistics companies, manufacturing plants and general purpose warehouses, the tenants and owners being attracted to its central location and proximity to Gauteng’s airport and rail networks.
